We are excited to present Krishna Das and Friends in concert for an evening of devotional chanting and awakening sound!

FREE WORKSHOP!!!! at 3:00-4:30 p.m.
Carnegie Library Lecture Hall, 4400 Forbes Avenue (entrance on Schenley Drive)
Mr. Chen Tao, master of the dizi and the ensemble director, will conduct this workshop where these virtuoso musicians will educate you about the differences between Chinese and western music. They will explain how different periods of Chinese history such as the Tang dynasty and cultural revolutions have influenced Chinese music. The tonal qualities of each instrument will be demonstrated. Musical selections representing traditional, classical, contemporary and Chinese folk music will be presented.
